Class of Contemporary Dance
The founding basis in my class, is the dancer’s relationship with the floor; using the centre as a gravitational point and an ally of movement.
Beginning with a stretch and then focusing on floor work, following on with risky combinations and dynamic exercise.
The more verical the intention is, the greater range of movement there will be. Sending energy to a distant point in space in order to create a richer and broader movement.
The mixture of directions will guide to provide a dynamic class, risky and full of physicality.
It is important to take into consideration the dancer’s individual anatomy, to ensure they find the direction of their interpretation in accordance with their own being.
The class will blend a variety of techniques such as Limon, Ballet, Release, Capoeira and my own stlyle.
